A festival of entertainment is coming to Portsmouth Guildhall, the South’s leading Concert Hall this Autumn, and there really is something for everyone to enjoy!

Kicking off the season is The Spooky Men’s Chorale who have single-handedly turned the world of men’s singing upside down, which is succeeded throughout the Autumn by a host of greats from the music world including Inhaler, Adam Ant, Amy MacDonaldWet Wet Wet with special guest Heather Small, Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra with Imelda May, The Almighty, John Grant, and The Stylistics.     

The best of tributes are also available in homage to the acts they portray including The ELO Show, Australian Pink Floyd, Ben Portsmouth – This is Elvis, Bjorn Again, Man in the Mirror, Luke Combs UK, The Legend of Bob Marley, Country by Candlelight, Rob Lamberti presents Perfectly George, The Magic of Motown and the best of the electrifying 80s in Calling Planet Earth.   

The Guildhall’s Classical Series for 2025/26 opens with carefully curated programmes from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Music in the Round’s Portsmouth Chamber Music, with series discounts available and kids from just £1. 

For dance fans, the breathtaking 30th anniversary show of Riverdance and seeing Strictly favourites Brendan, James, Pasha, Vincent and Ian reunite in Return of the Legends will not disappoint, plus a new Dance and Technology Conference (DTEC) is available for all those involved in teaching dance. 

If you’re looking for a laugh you do not want to miss Australian native Jim Jefferies with his provocative, belief-challenging, and thought-provoking new tour, Son of a Carpenter or Britain’s most relevant podcast-first broadcasters, Elis James and John Robins

Go clubbing with the kids at Mini Ravers and enjoy a range of other entertainment including the city’s first Bongo’s Bingo, Oktoberfest, Grandslam Wrestling, Black Ball with snooker greats Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor, an evening with Professor Alice Roberts and her new ‘Domination – The Fall and Rise of an Empire’ show, and Shock N Awe, one of the greatest MMA events in the country. 

It is always a festive season full of fun at the Guildhall and this year is no different with plenty to keep the whole family entertained! From the hit stage adaptation, Elf the Musical and a Cinderella pantomime, to The Muppets Christmas Carol and Love Actually films screened live to orchestra, plus Tony Hadley’s Christmas Big Band Tour, BSO’s Last Night of the Christmas Proms, West End Christmas by Candlelight, Step into Christmas – a show filled with all your festive favourites and James B Partridge’s Big Christmas Assembly.
