The Portsmouth Music Experience Exhibition provides a fascinating insight into the city’s role in shaping the UK music scene, and the Guildhall’s place at the heart of it. From The Beatles performing live in Portsmouth to Pink Floyd premiering Dark Side of the Moon at the Guildhall, the exhibition captures iconic moments alongside the stories of grassroots venues and local musicians.
Featuring immersive displays, video, audio recordings and rare photography, the exhibition is designed to evolve with contributions from visitors – encouraging businesses, residents and music lovers to share their memories and experiences. These dynamic spaces celebrate Portsmouth’s cultural identity, while connecting our community through a shared passion for music.
