How We Dressed Portsmouth Guildhall for Christmas.
Christmas has officially arrived at Portsmouth Guildhall! For the first time in our history, our iconic building has been transformed with a giant illuminated bow and ribbon, brand-new facade lighting and beautifully lit pillars—bringing festive magic right to the heart of the city.
This project has been a true Guildhall family effort. From the initial sketches to the final installation, our team poured creativity, craftsmanship and dedication into making this vision a reality. We are incredibly proud of how the building looks—and trust us, it’s even more stunning in person!
A special thank you goes to Lesley Bushell, who handcrafted the beautiful bow with outstanding skill, supported by Ming Wu. Our technical team also braved cold, wet and windy days to ensure everything was safely and perfectly installed. Their hard work has truly made the Guildhall sparkle.
