CORPORATE MARKETING OFFICER

TITLE: Corporate Marketing Officer
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Marketing + Conference & Events Sales Manager
HOURS: 24hrs per week

Purpose of Job

This is an exciting role within the organisation that focusses on B2B and B2C marketing activities that raise the profile of The Guildhall Trust and the Conferencing & Occasions offering across our venues. You will deliver multi-channel campaigns that raise awareness of The Guildhall Trust and its charitable activities, promote the Trust as a cultural consultancy to potential clients and support the Conferencing & Sales team to achieve budget targets.

The Breakthrough Programme with Artswork

DANCE LIVE! PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Working with the Dance Live! Production Coordinator and Senior Producer, the placement involves learning about mid-scale event production and delivery, assisting the delivery of Dance Live! events across the UK.

*A knowledge of dance is not required for this role. It is an event production role only*

The role will include:

  1. Assisting with the organization of pre-event requirements including schools performance information and LED Screen Content –
  2. Stage management opportunities
  3. Artist and school liaison on event days
  4. Social media marketing including Instagram and TikTok

The role will be mostly be in the work place. Accommodation and travel will be provided for tour dates. Closing date for applications is midnight, Sunday 11th August

YOUTH ARTS FACILITATION ASSISTANT

You will work in a team to provide support for the Head of Learning and Participation and Youth Arts Coordinator, the placement involves learning about Youth Arts delivery to the local community through various art forms including music and visual arts.

The role will include:

1. Assisting with the programming and delivery of workshops to young people in The Base and the wider Portsmouth Guildhall building

2. Participant and facilitator liaison/coordination

3. Learning booking and ticketing systems

4. Facilitating promotional material for website and social media platforms

Work Experience

Week long work experience for Y10, Y11 and College Students

We offer a limited number of placements each year that give a broad experience across all departments of the venue.

Please complete our Application Form and send it at least 2 months before your required start date to: hayley.reay@portsmouth.guildhall.org.uk

We do not accept CVs and/or Covering Letters and the application must be written and submitted by the person wishing to undertake work experience. We particularly welcome applications from students who express an interest in working in the music, arts and cultural sector.

Potential applicants will be interviewed in person or by phone before a placement is offered. Due to the large number of applications we receive we are not able to reply to all. If you have not heard from us within 1 week of submitting your application, you have unfortunately been unsuccessful.

 

Work Shadow Opportunities

Each year we run ‘Connect’ our work shadow programme where we offer x10 young people aged 16+ who are serious about developing a career offstage, the opportunity to work alongside our technical team.

Over a 9 month period successful applicants are offered x3 shows on which they can shadow our team, learn about how shows are run and how to approach the working environment.
