Start Time: 6pm
The UK’s quintessential tribute to The Who will headline an incredible evening of live music, alongside local support artists, LouLu V, The Prostate Gland Band and Fine Voice Chorus, raising awareness of Prostate Cancer prevention.
Jeremy Clarkson said “Cancer Screening SAVES LIVES”. Men aged 50 and over should book an appointment with their GP NOW. A simple, painless blood test will reveal your PSA level (a good indicator); prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, 1:8 diagnosed during their lifetime. All proceeds will support Prostate Cancer UK.
Step into the golden era of rock with Maximum Who, a powerhouse tribute delivering the thunderous energy, iconic sound and raw spirit of The Who from 1965 to 1978. From legendary anthems to deep-cut rarities, this is more than a tribute, an explosive stage presence and electrifying celebration capturing the heart and soul of one of rock’s greatest bands; prepare to relive the magic, loud, live and unforgettable.
Support is provided by LouLu V, a rising Hampshire-based singer-songwriter, creating pop, and indie rock who is now touring around the south and London, and about to drop her debut album with the backing of Boy Georges’ producer.
Also supporting are “The Prostate Gland Band”, playing classic covers from the 60s, 70s and 80s and dedicated to raising cash for, and awareness of, prostate cancer.
Finally, the Fine Voice Chorus, a Portsmouth-based choir, with uplifting harmonies. They regularly rehearse so they can entertain at shows and fundraising events across the Portsmouth area.
