Shock N Awe was created with one goal, to provide fighters with an enjoyable experience in a high-quality event, giving the audience true value for their money.

The inaugural Shock N Awe events took place at Ferneham Hall, Fareham, quickly selling out after just two shows at the 750-capacity venue. A move to Portsmouth’s Liquid and Envy nightclub followed, but the increasing popularity outgrew the venue’s capacity. Undeterred, Shock N Awe continued its journey, finding a home at The Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth.

As the show’s reputation spread, media outlets, coaches, gyms, and MMA fans recognized Shock N Awe as one of the go-to platforms for aspiring fighters. With each event, the card expanded, featuring 8 to 10 professional fights. In 2018, Shock N Awe found its current home at the prestigious Portsmouth Guildhall, a venue befitting its growing status.

Shock N Awe’s philosophy remains unchanged – create an event where fighters, regardless of the outcome, want to return time and time again. This approach has resulted in a show that resonates with fans, making Shock N Awe one of the top events in the UK. Shock N Awe continues to grow from strength to strength and with a successful spin off of Contenders events which are solely for Amateurs, the numbered events are seen as the stepping stone to the elite level.
