Share ‘Your Portsmouth’ Story

Drop-in session with Portsmouth Museums

Join Portsmouth Museums in the Guildhall Squared Tent for a welcoming, creative drop-in workshop celebrating 100 years of Portsmouth as a city.

Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to reflect on the Portsmouth that has shaped them. Think about a person who represents your Portsmouth – a historic figure, a favourite teacher, a family member, a football coach, a neighbour, or someone who made a lasting difference in your life.

Through a simple, hands-on craft activity, you’ll create a small doll inspired by that person and share why you chose them. Whether your story is joyful, or more thoughtful, every contribution helps tell the wider story of the city.

Your memories and creations will become part of a growing museum project, helping to share the voices, experiences and everyday stories that have shaped the city over the past century.

This event is part of Guildhall Squared, a Festival Tent in Guildhall Square from 5 – 10 May filled with an exciting programme of events, workshops and activities in celebration of Portsmouth’s 100 years of city status.

Bringing generations together.
