Colour Loft is the free finale of Portsmouth 100, created and produced by Trigger and taking place at Portsmouth Guildhall from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 January 2027.
Step into a world of colour, light, sound and creativity. Make flags, try sewing, learn about traditional rigging, discover stories from Portsmouth’s past, or simply drop in and enjoy the experience.
At the heart of Colour Loft is a giant artwork made from hundreds of flags created with people across the city. Inspired by Portsmouth’s historic colour lofts, the project shines a light on the skilled women who made sails, flags and signals for ships, while bringing communities together through creativity and participation.
