Continents are a Welsh metalcore band delivering an intense blend of crushing riffs, emotional depth, and explosive live energy. With international touring experience across the UK, Europe, and Japan, the band has built a reputation for raw honesty and relentless performances.
After a hiatus in 2018 due to health reasons, Continents returned in 2022 stronger and heavier than ever. Their comeback singles Bad Blood and Clarity received airplay on BBC Radio 1 Dan P Carter, reigniting their fanbase and marking the beginning of a new era for the band.
Their LIFELINE EP represents a bold evolution in both sound and message (artwork), exploring themes of mental health, trauma, manipulation, and emotional survival. Singles including Bad Blood, Lifeline, Gritted Teeth and Corrupted earned airplay on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show and praise from Kerrang, Knotfest, Metal Hammer, and Rocksound, alongside placements on Spotify’s Metal UK and All New Metal playlists.
Recent releases Smile and Corrupted push even deeper, confronting intrusive thoughts, emotional burnout, and the weight of masking pain. Smile reflects the reality of wearing happiness as armor, while Corrupted exposes the damage caused by gasighting. Driven by punishing rhythms, crushing riffs, and raw, emotive vocals, these tracks showcase Continents at their heaviest and most vulnerable. Both songs have received heavy rotation on BBC Introducing and a powerful response from fans since release.
Renowned for their high-energy live shows and deep connection with audiences, Continents have packed out venues and festivals since their return. With new material ready for release and a proven track record on and off stage, Continents are ready for bigger stages, louder crowds, and a wider audience to share their message.
If you thought you knew Continents, think again.
Welcome to the Lifeline Era.
SMILE.
